F-1
TPS is a temporary immigration status granted by the U.S. government to citizens of countries that are experiencing armed conflict, natural disasters, or other emergencies. This status allows foreign nationals in the U.S. to legally live and work in the country for a specified period of time.

Who can apply only citizens of countries to which the U.S. has officially granted TPS may apply for this status. The list of countries is updated and published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Applicants must be in the United States at the time TPS is announced for their country. Individuals with serious criminal offenses are not eligible for TPS.

Uniting for Ukraine (U4U) is a special humanitarian passport program for Ukrainian citizens launched by the U.S. government in 2022. The program allows Ukrainians affected by war and humanitarian crisis to temporarily enter and reside in the United States on a humanitarian basis.
Who can apply the program is available to Ukrainian citizens who have been forced to leave their country because of the military conflict. To participate in the U4U program, Ukrainians need a financial sponsor an individual or organization in the United States that is willing to provide financial support. Applicants must be outside of Ukraine at the time of application.

The sponsor must file Form I-134 (Affidavit of Support) attesting to their financial ability to support the applicant in the United States.

U4U
Work Authorization, or Employment Authorization Document (EAD), is a document that allows foreign nationals to work legally in the United States for a specified period of time. It is required for those who are not automatically eligible to work, such as students with F-1 (OPT) visas, spouses of L-1 visa holders, individuals with humanitarian passwords (such as participants in the TPS or U4U programs), and applicants for adjustment of status, such as those applying for a Green Card or participating in the DACA program. To obtain an EAD, you must file Form I-765 with USCIS and prove lawful presence and right to work. A work permit is usually issued for 1 to 2 years and can be renewed. It allows you to be legally employed on a temporary or permanent basis by any employer in the United States.
